The Eva table lamp was developed on the basis of a conceptual reflection on the relationship between two traditional pairs of opposites: full/empty and light/dark. Its LED source is housed in a spherical metal boule featuring a large, perfectly circular eye. In the opening there is a metal cap equipped with a small handle that allows it to be moved closer or further away from the inside of the sphere, leaving a circular glimmer of light whose definition changes. The lighting effect, which calls to mind a domestic micro-eclipse, is amplified by the gold leaf coating that covers the inside of the spheres and which plays on the contrast with the black painted finish of the exterior and the cylindrical base on which it is supported.
