Food design in Italia is a book dedicated to the history and current situation regarding the design of nutritional artifacts. Within the many design possibilities related to food, from recipes and equipment to items for food preparation and presentation, the volume is characterized by the specific study of “food design”, which is positioned within the overall system that characterizes design, from product design to production, from distribution to communication and consumption. The goal of the book is to analyze food as an integral project from the organoleptic characteristics to the shape and from technological and organizational systems for its production to how food is placed in a development, communication and consumption context up to the complete life cycle management.
