PLH® Neo reveals what a control device is, or should be: a button and, in a broader sense, a signal. Concealed panels and frames mask the recessed parts, and the result is an essential form, geometrical and decidedly modern: a circular point on the wall, with a minimal diameter (29 mm) but sufficiently large enough to be easily identified. The box with the control plants (502E for two modules) is recessed back from the wall profile, and connected to the button with a 13 mm deep cylindrical stud grommet, with a diameter slightly less than the button (24 mm), and therefore entirely concealed by the latter. The theme of the primary geometry, central to this project, is flanked by two other means of expression and perception: colour and light. Made of anodized aluminum, PLH® Neo is available in a wide range of shades (four “classic” tones - silver, midnight, stainless steel, chrome mirror - and six “polished colours”: blue, orange, purple, red, yellow and green), to which a transparent and unlimited laser customized variation on the front face of the button is added. The slight protrusion from the wall (2 mm) is exploited to accommodate the thickness of a warm white circular Osram LED, which makes the switch visible even in the dark. The supply includes adapters for standard boxes, which permit the mounting of the switch adhering to the wall using special “unions” suitable for different types of walls (light construction, masonry and other materials).
