The idea of the classic work table from the workshop – usually made up of two wooden trestles and a top made of raw sheet metal or plywood – becomes the design matrix for a versatile table and its methods of packaging, assembly / disassembly and storage. Mastro is made up of two distinct elements. The worktop is a steel plate, whose deliberately rough image is emphasized by a rough finish, available in etched iron or black sheet metal. Suitably bent and shaped into a 'C' form, the top serves as a visible joint for a pair of trestles, formed by strips of fir wood natural, mutually fixed with a clearly visible interlocking tongue and groove joint. The trestles, if necessary, can be easily removed and, thanks to the square cross-section, scrolled horizontally within the groove in the top section, which is then transformed into a metal 'box', able to accommodate them in its length. In this way the overall size is reduced to a minimum, with great advantages in terms of transport and warehousing, since the table can be stored in very little space indeed. The collection is completed with bookcases and benches, distinguished by the same inspirational design.
