Designed as a universal solution for access control, the Libra electronic cylinder is compatible with all locks with mechanical profile cylinder hole according to the European EN 103standard. The system is characterized by a patented modular structure that allows the creation of countless versions (both configuration and dimension) using a limited number of components. Because of the ease and speed of installation and low battery consumption of the operation mechanism - which guarantees over three years of autonomy - Libra is easily adapted to both new and existing doors where it can replace traditional mechanical cylinders. Another strong point of the design is the extreme ease of use. The opening system is activated by an electronic key, a TAG RFID (radio frequency) card or virtual credential. The built-in reader in the handle can be opened using a wide range of electronic media, including mobile phone devices through the use of NFC and Bluetooth standards. The ergonomic shape of the electronic knob facilitates use of the handle, while the visual and audio signal makes its use even easier, making Libra ideal for public environments and where there is a high flow of people.

The Libra electronic cylinder has been designed to guarantee correct functioning for at least ten years. The materials and construction methods fully reflect this requirement. The structural parts are made of metal (steel, brass and aluminium), the internal parts in Nylon, and the cover plate in metal, polycarbonate and ABS. The various types of materials are easily separated to facilitate an almost total recyclability of the product at the end of life.

The designers have worked to ensure the safety of users in every working condition and to minimize the environmental impact of the product. Among the measures adopted: minimum consumption of use; battery power at low voltage, use of environmentally friendly techniques for electronic components (in accordance with RoHS directives, and use of lead-free welding resins and other materials hazardous to the environment).

The characteristics of the Libra cylinder have been the subject of two patents in the electronics field and two in the mechanical field. 1. System of automatic cylinder "awakening" to activate the reading of the credential while ensuring very low power consumption while at rest: 2. Detection system by the cylinder itself of rotary movements carried out on it and the movements of the door; 3. Engagement/release system of the rotation of very small dimensions and very similar to those of a mechanical cylinder; 4. Modular system based on a limited number of components, but able to create thousands of different sizes and configurations.
Environmental certifications
The Iseo factories have an integrated certificate, including the environmental certification ISO 14000.
