FLORA FLOOR COPPER
BY ZANINI DE ZANINE
FOR SLAMP
Floor lamp formally inspired by the tropical
plant Monstera Deliciosa. The structure is characterized
by three slender stalk-like legs that support a
lampshade composed of sixty metallic petals that
surround the satin-finished diffuser. The glossy finish of
the petals and the plastic curves of the surfaces
generate flashes, reflections and optical effects. The
production process does not require specific equipment
nor does it produce CO2 emissions. The petals are
obtained by cold-working a sheet of Copperflex® and
manually assembled. The material, patented by the
company, is obtained by vapour aluminium metallization of
thin with transparent polycarbonate sheet. The diffuser is
applied to the supporting structure using magnets: a detail
which simplifies assembly, maintenance and cleaning.
