In 2015, in response to the Energy Authority resolution (501/2014) on the criteria for the transparency of bills for electricity and/or gas consumption, Enel Energia started a redesign process of the ways in which to assist the clients into becoming more aware of how to manage energy consumption. This resulted in a service consisting of two complementary elements, Bolletta 2.0 and e-Billing, which work synergistically to provide a renewed experience of access to information, from the display of consumption and cost details to communications for the user, methods and status of payments. The project involved all the stakeholders (from the Authorities to professional associations and finally the Clients) leading to the definition of a service-system that according to estimates will benefit 31 million users.
