Terre Ossidate was the result of the idea of adding colour to a series of terracotta products for floorings and coverings while maintaining the structure and material nature combined with a striking expressive appearance at the same time. Selecting natural clays according to their plasticity and resistance, the resulting process uses natural oxides obtained from the partial decomposition of ceramic glazes in powder format thereby significantly lowering the percentage of the glassy part, which remains only in very small quantities, in order to promote amalgam during firing. Completely ecological and environmentally friendly, the production cycle involves a first firing phase in wood-fired ovens, a subsequent colouring using natural oxides and then a second firing in electric ovens, powered entirely by solar energy.
