Concept bike with the hub-centre steering
system derived from motorcycle technology. In terms of
choice of materials a latest generation carbon fibre
composite were tested and supports created by means of
3D printing. Between the apparently completely different
materials and production processes in question, a
technological connection was defined that allowed them to
act in harmony from the design point of view. The problems
linked to the hypothetical use of carbon fibre and those
actually encountered in the implementation of a rapid
prototyping model in scale 1: 1 made it possible to achieve
an accurate and consistent organic modelling of the
vehicle, highlighting its strengths and the inherent
language of the materials used.
