In its initial stage, the lamp was intended to be a little character delicately introduced to a room, bringing with it a soft but directed light. From this came the idea that the lamp could have a continuous profile, with an articulated head that could move in several directions, apparently without effort. The result of this process of formal definition led the top of the lamp to look like a humming bird, a little bird with a round head and a long tail, which in this case became respectively a little diffuser and a prehensile handle for adjusting the light. Perched on the shoulders of anyone reading while sunk in their favourite armchair, Colibrì creates a concentrated but gentle light, perfect for reading by.

MATERIALS
The structure consists of a zama cast base to which a vertical extruded aluminium alloy rod is grafted along which the cable runs. The lamp head is made out of additive enriched (for a matte finish) injection-moulded polycarbonate and is located at the top of the rod. The union which allows the rotational movement of the lamp is created by two aluminium die-cast pieces, while the interior of the lamp head contains the technical lighting elements, a halogen bulb (1x75W GU10, but also 120V, with dimmer) mounted inside a optic in machined aluminium.
