Auditorium built within the Museo del
Violino in Cremona which interprets the great musical
tradition in a warm and welcoming setting. A fluid
layout, comprising soft volumes and sinuous lines that
flow, intertwine and depict a large organic sculpture
that expresses the propagation of sound waves. The
project was an opportunity to test special acoustic
engineering solutions, entrusted to the care of Yasuhisa
Toyota. The focal point is the central stage in the middle
of the auditorium; a magnetic space where sound and
spectacle come together while concrete waves in
different shades of grey materialize along the ceiling of the
hall and sleek wooden balconies are housed in the
rectangular centre to form a clean and pleasant geometric
contrast.
